My first Plein Air. January 1st with a dry, cold and windy day. 38 degrees!!! I finished that piece as fast as I could!! It was cold and the paint was drying quickly. I would spray the paint on the pallette then paint the painting. I finished and went to other artists and showed the finished painting. They had just got started!! Acrylic can be a challenge but what a joy!!

I love your painting! I think I'd love plein air painting if you could do it from inside a vehicle, or a ski lodge...Can you do that? Is it legal?
Stunning. Love the lights in this piece. Just breathtaking.
Dors-
Thanks for the hello!! The light makes it!!
Deb-
Who set the rules? Not me!! I painted the seascape painting because it had been raining!! Try that with acrylic!! I set in my warm place painting as I went. Try it. Many times I paint plein air out side for about 1 to 2 hours. I then go into my studio and paint for a while. Sometimes I then go back to the area. Try it Deb.
