First Plein Air Painting
My first Plein Air. January 1st with a dry, cold and windy day. 38 degrees!!! I finished that piece as fast as I could!! It was cold and the paint was drying quickly. I would spray the paint on the pallette then paint the painting. I finished and went to other artists and showed the finished painting. They had just got started!! Acrylic can be a challenge but what a joy!!
9" x 12" Acrylic
Winery
A number of plein air artists got together at the winery one year. We painted at several areas. Had a great time. This piece needs some help. Going to work on the building and the artist too but I wanted to share this plein air piece.
I think I could put more branches over that tree. May work on that piece.

Full of Bull
I had a great picture of a bull. The problem was that the area was not so great. I did have a old shed photo. Also had some pictures of a cow painting. I did some drawing over the other photo. Then I painted the image. Lots of fun!!
The background was like plein air. I went out and painted the area. Drawing over the piece. Worked over the painting.

The Old Truck
A friend had told me about a old truck. We went up to the winery and saw the old truck. Then I got a photo from a place that I used to go near my aunts place. That old barn is still alive!! Just hanging in there. The last time I saw that place was about 50 years ago!!! Had to paint those old friends!!

River Near Camp 18
Plein Air paint out at Camp 18 near the coast in Oregon. It was raining so we went to the restaurant near Camp 18. Had a roll and coffee. The sun popped up so we ran to the river with our paints and canvas's. We painted for 50 minutes and then the rain hit us. Was a great paint out. Coffee and roll were great too!!
